Tarot Decks

Called "the Devil's picture-book" by those who disapprove of it, the Tarot is generally associated with divination in the popular mind. However, many traditions prefer instead to concentrate upon its use in spiritual self-discovery and meditation. Rather than seeking to part the veil of time, practitioners use the Tarot to discover what is in themselves -- their strengths and weaknesses, the particular spiritual challenges they will be needing to face, etc.

Pocket Rider Waite Tarot

Always have a set of Tarot cards with you when the opportunity to meditate or contemplate presents itself. Using the classic Rider Waite design, this tiny set will fit comfortably in pocket or purse to go with you all the time.

Giant Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

Just the opposite of the above, this oversized deck is particularly suited for workshops and other teaching situations where several people will need to be able to see the cards with ease. The classic Rider-Waite designs are among the most readily recognizable Tarot designs, and thus particularly suitable for teaching situations.

Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg

Ornately decorated in a style fit for a tsar, this Tarot deck draws upon Russian folklore and artistic traditions for its design. Because it is so elaborate and beautiful, you may not want to expose it to the wear that will result from regular use in readings, but it may be reserved for private meditation upon the symbolism.
