Athames

The athame or ritual blade represents the Lord, the masculine principle of the Divine. In its sharp angularity we are reminded of the angularity of the male form and of the male generative power. As it takes the form of a weapon, it also reminds us of the long history of men defending home and family from danger. In days gone by such defense was often literal, against wild animals or thieves and highwaymen, but in the modern era it is more likely that we have to call upon the masculine side of ourselves (the animus) to stand up to lies and other nasty words, more cutting than any two-edged sword.

Steel Hilt Knights Ring Dagger

Steel Hilt Knight's Ring Dagger

A blade of classic simplicity, of unadorned steel and polished wood, it is particularly suitable for a personal altar of meditation or small, intimate rituals with a few close friends or family members.

Athame Wolf White Handle Patriotic

This blade with its elaborate handle is perfect for rituals dedicated to remembering those who have fallen in the line of duty. Let us never forget that members of the earth-based faith communities are standing in defense of home and country, whether in the armed forces or as police and first responders, ready to lay down their lives if need be so that others may live in peace and freedom.

Moon Phase Athame

Although the phases of the moon are generally associated with the Lady rather than the Lord, both of them are aspects of the Divine Principle that infuses all the world and binds it together. Thus it is appropriate to see the symbolism combined in this beautifully crafted yet understated blade.
